GLOBAL INDICES on 5 June 2013

• Dow Jones ended lower on Tuesday as worries mounted that the US Federal Reserve may slow down its economic stimulus.
• At 9.00 am in the morning, Asian markets were trading lower with Nikkei trading over 0.25% lower and Hang Seng trading 0.68% down.
• Nikkei rose sharply on Tuesday as hopes of central bank easing prompted bargain-buying among investors.
• Hang Seng index ended flat on Tuesday as gains in shares of Wharf Holdings helped offset weakness in Chinese growth-sensitive counters.
• FTSE index closed higher on Tuesday as positive domestic construction data raised optimism about the country’s economic prospects.
