0.72-2.65%.
• Stocks of Coal India fell 2.84% as the Department of Disinvestment
moved the proposal
to sell 10% stake in the company to the Cabinet Committee on
Economic
Affairs (CCEA).
• Titan Industries plunged 13.76% due to central bank tightening
norms for gold imports.
• Few index heavyweights from the banking and realty sectors
recouped losses on the back
of short covering.
• Among the banking pack shares of SBI, ICICI Bank and IndusInd Bank
gained 0.43-3.29%.
• Jindal Steel was the top gainer on the Nifty rising 4.16%.
