minister Suresh Prabhu led an Indian delegation at St Petersburg International
Economic Forum on May 24-25 to initiate an economic summit. This was a
follow-up of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sochi for an informal
summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two countries also explored
possibilities of joint ventures to participate in tenders in third countries.
Prabhu invited various ministers, governors and business leaders to bring a delegation of top 100 CEOs to visit India for a summit and meeting with government officials and Indian CEOs, where sector-specific industries would meet each other to discuss and build contacts to create sustained engagement.
