I had mentioned in Monday’s closing report that Nifty, Sensex have remained under pressure. The major indices of the Indian stock markets rallied on Tuesday and closed with gains over Monday’s close. On the NSE, there were 691 advances, 1,059 declines and 302 unchanged. The trends of the major indices in the course of Tuesday’s trading are given in the table below:

The key Indian equity indices traded on a flat note on Tuesday amidst a largely volatile trade. Buying was witnessed in healthcare and IT (information technology) stocks while oil and gas and metal stocks were under selling pressure. 

Software major Infosys said on Tuesday that Australian Military Bank (AMB) in Sydney went live digitally on the Finacle cloud platform of its subsidiary EdgeVerve Systems. The bank has been processing about 40,000 mixed transactions per day, with 22,000 card transactions and nearly 7,000 composite payments transactions on average per day on the digital platform. Infosys shares closed at Rs726.00, up 1.08% on the NSE.

Budget carrier SpiceJet will commence flight service on the Shirdi-Delhi-Shirdi sector from October 1, said the airline on Monday. Besides, it will also launch a new daily direct flight on the Mumbai-Kanpur route from October 8. The airline will also operate first direct flight on the Mumbai-Jaisalmer route starting October 29 and a third direct flight on Mumbai-Kolkata sector from November 1. Spicejet shares closed at Rs68.80, down 3.78% on the NSE.
 
Private lender Yes Bank's board will meet on September 25 to discuss the future course of action after its MD and CEO Rana Kapoor demits office on January 31, under the direction of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The board meeting comes days after the RBI decided against extending the tenure of Kapoor beyond January 31, 2019. Yes Bank shares closed at Rs219.85, down 2.83% on the BSE.

IndusInd Bank launches voice-based banking services through AI (artificial intelligence) based Amazon Alexa -'Alexa, ask IndusAssist to do fund transfer'. This enables customers to conduct financial & non-financial banking transactions on Amazon Echo and other Alexa-enabled devices using voice commands. Indusind Bank shares closed at Rs1,693.10, up 1.10% on the BSE.

Suven Life Sciences secured product patents in Canada and Sri Lanka corresponding to the New Chemical Entity for the treatment of disorders associated with Neurodegenerative diseases and patents are valid through 2034 and 2026 respectively. Suven Life Sciences shares closed at Rs274.15, up 2.89% on the BSE.

Capcite Infraprojects received contracts worth Rs674.75 crore. The company secured orders worth Rs560.90 crore from Glider Buildcon Realtors, a Piramal Group company. It also received an order worth Rs113.85 crore from Radius Group company. The company’s shares closed at Rs227.50, down 1.66% on the BSE.

UFLEX - FlexFilms forayed into online space with the launch of its E-Commerce website 'FLEX-BuzzR' to market its entire range of films in European region. FLEX-BuzzR is intended to supplement Flex Films existing brick-and-mortar business mode. Uflex shares closed at Rs299.50, down 0.86% on the BSE.
